This collection is priceless for anyone who enjoys quality literary craftsmanship. Vivid characters, classic prose, spellbinding storytelling, surprise twists,climactic endings; Maughm captures it all. Very few present day writers equal his comprehensive literary skills. Wonderfual hours of captivating reading on my wonderful Kindle.

11 of 12 people found the following review helpful. Great author at the right price By robert j brehl "Of Human Bondage" is the only selection I have read yet. I will likely read others as I get the chance. The story is decent and the near perfection of the author's language makes the book a pleasant read. I found no more electronic glitches than I expected at this price point. The only thing I would have appreciated was a page numbering system with a table of contents indicating the beginning of each book in the volume.
