From that I have discovered a fantastic writer. George Manville Fenn has become one of my all time favorite authors.The previous year sixteen year old Steve Young's uncle set sail aboard the Ice Blink from Hull (Yorkshire), England, headed north - - - and has not been heard of since. This is the excellently written story of the trials, tribulations, dangers and adventures faced by Steve, his guardian, Dr Handscombe plus Captain Marsham with a small crew of English, Scottish and Norwegian sailors as they sail north, through the icy waters of the Norwegian Sea and Artic Ocean, aboard the Hvalross, in search of the Ice Blink and its crew..My interest was completely captured and retained by this thoroughly engrossing tale. My highest compliment is that I am certain that I will fully enjoy reading this novel a second, third and, even, a forth time
